Fee Structure by Vehicle Category

Vehicle Category	Description
Category 1 — Light vehicles	Cars, SUVs, bakkies/pickups (up to 3,500kg)
Category 2 — Minibuses	Kombis, minibuses (up to 16 passengers)
Category 3 — Medium trucks	Medium commercial vehicles (3,500kg - 10,000kg)
Category 4 — Heavy trucks	Large trucks and buses (over 10,000kg)
Category 5 — Extra-heavy vehicles	Haulage trucks, abnormal loads

Fees increase with vehicle category. Heavy vehicles pay significantly more than light vehicles.
